Difference between SmartAMF and Conventional AMF

In our previous article [Read - Denyo Blog: Do You Need an Automatic Mains Failure?], we discussed about the importance of AMF and that it is responsible for starting the standby power generator during an unpredicted mains power failure. Following the advantages, there are actually “drawbacks” for an Automatic Mains Failure to be placed in an external panel. In this day and age of the smart machine, such conventional practice is usable, but no longer efficient.

As forerunner in the global machinery industry, Denyo has always taken proactive approach on product research and development – incorporating AMF control system into the standby generator to produce what we believed is a step forward for the standby power technology, the SmartAMF. So let us explain the benefits our SmartAMF has over the conventional AMF.

    Optimal Efficiency & Cost Effectiveness

In Denyo, our engineers think outside the box and approach problems in new, innovative ways. Integrating the SmartAMF control system within the generator canopy, users can eliminate miscommunication of signal (between AMF and the standby generator) and space constraint caused by the enlarged external panel that often cost more to build in order to house the AMF and ATS.

Conventional AMF setup will require a “bulky and costly” multicore cable that has a limitation distance of 15 meters (maximum) between the external panel and the standby generator. However, SmartAMF simply needed a relatively simpler sensing cable of any desired length connecting between the two components to ensure the entire system’s workability. Ultimately, SmartAMF being a more functional system is more cost-effective than a conventional AMF system.

    Real-time Diagnostics & Customisable Solutions

Unlike conventional AMF system, our game-changing SmartAMF utilises digital-based control system to provide real-time readings and data of your standby generator – that is readily accessible for reporting and troubleshooting purposes. What’s more, the SmartAMF can be configured with a series of custom PLC interfaces to fulfil your application needs; also ensuring all automation tasks given to the standby generator can be carried out safely and effectively!

    Product & Quality Assurance

We stand behind the quality of our Denyo Smart Power Series and the entire SmartAMF integration that undergo a series of rigorous testing before sending out for our customer’s usage. [Read - Denyo Success Stories: Alpha IVF Centre, Singapore]
