A conventional AMF setup will require a “bulky and costly” multicore cable that has a limited distance of 15 meters (maximum) between the external panel and the standby generator. However, SmartAMF simply needed a relatively simple sensing cable of any desired length to connect the two components, ensuring the entire system’s workability. Ultimately, SmartAMF, being a more functional system, is more cost-effective than a conventional AMF system.
